Site gets a cut-n-shut

Well it's been a while, I thought the site should need a bit of an upgrade. We're about halfway there, so I'll bother you again when it's done. Then we'll get going with the mobile site version. Bam!

Code:Simple full mix up

Code:Simple is the tiny middle slice of a bunch of segues later on in the Scene Damage album. Sounds good to me right now, but mixing plays tricks on my ears...

The Scientist Balor Knights mix

This song's got two mixes now! The FAWM version is what Kristian did and it's pretty smart. But I'm picky about my vocal sound so here's a more fucked-up Balor sound.

Action Music instrumental version up

The song that gives the new album its name. This version is without vocals, but I'm on it. Otherwise complete, and brutal rock. Lyrics about the new soviet state troubles.

Experimental track - Doctors Blues

Experiments in vocal processing and gorgeous lo-fi lead vocals. With a little acoustic guitar to spice it up.

Album closer (instrumental version)

This song is the album closer, and it packs a typically raucous punch. Vocal version coming soon.

Another from the new album!

A short Metric Tonne-style ditty for the 5th tune on the new album, currently called Moscow State Circus. I know it's the fourth track released, but I've got another one planned for the third track on the album!

And a third from the new album

A third for FAWM (it'll be fourth on the album). Reuben's Parties Break Hearts never sounded so accurate.

Two from the new album

Currently I'm in the middle of FAWM writing tunes. Here's two that have basically been finished. Look out for some very special collaborations on this album!

Couple o' tweaks

Nothing special here, just polished up the look of the page a little. You can now link to last.fm's Balor Knights page, and I've made the FAWM logo a bit less... horrid... (ducks) ... sorry Burr! (Also, if you couldn't find me, the FAWM link goes to my Tobermory page.)

Wired for Sound mastered

Yep all done. Terror sounded a little vocal heavy so that's been tweaked again too. Comparing with other alt-indie it doesn't sound anywhere near as loud, but if you listen to Maximo Park's first album or the Futureheads, they actually sound a bit... crappy. Eek!

Terror Fitzgerald finished and mastered

And by God it sounds good! EineKleine sounded a little quiet and dull in comparison so I remastered that bad boy too.

Brought this up to line level now. 2^5 is staying as a 7-track EP so it will be finished soon.
